SP9 Questionaire

1. What is/are your favorite yarn/s to knit with? What fibers do you absolutely *not* like?

I love to knit with soft yarns, cotton materials are the best to suit the weather here in Malaysia. Materials like made of nylon or polyester that gives the silky smooth touch is nice too. I guess wool is too hot for the humid weather but it would be fun to knit accessories with it. I don't like to knit with cheap acrylic because it's scratchy.

2. What do you use to store your needles/hooks in?

Uhh....right now its scattered in one of my drawers and some are in the box together with the yarns hehe...Don't have a proper home for them

3. How long have you been knitting & how did you learn?

Would you consider your skill level to be beginner, intermediate or advanced? I've been knitting for about....8 months now and my bud (Rain) had thought me the basics and since then I'm hooked on to it. I think I'm an advanced beginner.

4. Do you have an Amazon or other online wish list?

Yes I do but I'll link the site once I've updated it...soon....

5. What's your favorite scent? (for candles, bath products, etc.)

Lavender is an all time favourite. Eucalyptus is good too. Don't really fancy anything that is too sweet and also citrus smells, but other than that,anything would do.

6. Do you have a sweet tooth? Favorite candy?

For chocolate? definitely! I prefer dark chocolate over milk or white chocolate...Don't really have a favourite candy...hmmm did I mention that I love chocolate? ;)

7. What other crafts or Do-It-Yourself things do you like to do? Do you spin?

I'm not a crafty person..at all....Come to think of it, knitting is the first craft that I actually love to do. I've learnt how to crochet too but that interest didn't last very long. I have never done any spinning but I would love to learn one day.

8. What kind of music do you like? Can your computer/stereo play MP3s? (if your buddy wants to make you a CD)

I listen to mostly everything from RnB to hip hop to pop to rock, or any of those relaxing music is nice...non heavy metal stuff though...And yes, my computer can play MP3.

9. What's your favorite color(s)? Any colors you just can't stand?

My favourite colour is PURPLE =) I also like blue, red, olive green...Anything that is not too bright. I don't like oranges, yellow or anything that is fluorescent.

10. What is your family situation? Do you have any pets?

Living with a younger sis. No pets.

11. Do you wear scarves, hats, mittens or ponchos?

I do wear scarves and occasionally hats. Mittens in a humid climate? nooope! And so far I haven't worn any ponchos.

12. What is/are your favorite item/s to knit?

I like to knit clothes and scarves.

13. What are you knitting right now?

A scarf.

14. Do you like to receive handmade gifts?

Yes definitely!

15. Do you prefer straight or circular needles?

Bamboo, aluminum, plastic? Circular needles. I would say aluminium is better than bamboo anytime. Haven't knitted with plastic yet tho...

16. Do you own a yarn winder and/or swift?

No to both

17. How old is your oldest UFO?

About 7 months..

18. What is your favorite holiday?

Summer break (uni)

19. Is there anything that you collect?

Yarn? hehe....nope I don't qualify to declare that I have a stash :(

20. Any books, yarns, needles or patterns out there you are dying to get your hands on? What knitting magazine subscriptions do you have?

Yarns? Where do I start?? there are so many gorgeous ones out there like Tilli Tomas and Claudia Handpainted sock yarn. Merino wool. Addi Turbo Needles. I don't have any subscription to knitting magazines but Katia Magazine and also Vogue Knitting have some really nice patterns to knit.

21. Are there any new techniques you'd like to learn?

I would want to learn how to knit socks. To knit accessories with wool and felt them.

22. Are you a sock knitter? What are your foot measurements?

Not a sock knitter..yet...hope to be one soon... Ladies size 8
